Hello, has anyone here ever put a turbo on their Corolla? If so, was it worth doing? Thanks
Clarification: Which model year, engine, and transmission combo?
Putting a turbo will compromise the reliability of the Corolla. Once you update the powertrain, it has a ripple effect onto the rest of the vehicle’s systems. It’s not worth it - I would leave it as is.
Even at a low psi?
I have seen video people putting turbo on a early model Rav4, that thing has over 200k miles and still running
Even at a low psi?
Just get a stock turbo Civic, mate..
You'll just ruin the car. A turbocharged engine is actually a complete system requiring changes to engine internals and computer controls compared to a normally aspirated engine. This even goes for light pressure turbos. If you want a turbocharged car trade in your Corolla on one.
Sure, but then you’d have a WRX (kidding)
Like @chucktobias says, it’s not just a bolt-on modification. I imagine there’s plenty of turbofied corollas out there if you explore the Corolla forums. The thing to do is find one at a “cars and coffee” event somewhere and ask.
If so, was it worth doing?
Worth it for what? What are you trying to accomplish? It's a Corolla.
NO.
If so, was it worth doing?
I herd it’s doable there are even kits and - what you get is an unreliable, unpredictable mess of what could have been a nice car.
If you really want something troublesome with not that much horsepower - you can buy it for less ‘pre-made’ like an stock Infiniti.
If you want a Corolla with about 60 more horsepower - just get a Mazda3 with a 2.5L non-turbo.
If you really want to blow up your engine for a lot less money, just install a nitrous kit.
No-not that I know of. You can get a new 2022 Corolla with a 2.0 turbocharged I4 from the factory.
For 2022 model year, they only offered the naturally aspirated I4 (1.8, 2.0L).

Didn't Toyota offer a turbocharged engine for the Corolla at one point?
2023 Corolla GR.
Correct, the 2023 Corolla GR has the turbocharged engine; of course, it’s a 3-cylinder engine and who wants that?!
