Is the 5-speed 2000 ECHO a decent Toyota Econo-Box?
Where were they made?

They are the ancestor of the Yaris and generally considered decent commuter cars.
Assembly was done mostly in Japan, though some were manufactured in China.

Scotty hates them but they were reliable enough, though I'd save a bit more and swing for a Yaris
