Scotty: I live just outside of Charlotte, NC. looking to replace my girlfriend's horrendous 2011 Cadillac SRX with a 2017, 2018, 2019, or 2020 Toyota Highlander (FWD only). Should I hold out for one assembled in Japan (highest quality) or are other assembly centers equal?
On these vehicles will the car itself show where it was assembled? or do I have to see the carfax report?
Any preference in these specific years?
Do you prefer the Lexux RX (same years) over the Highlander, putting price point aside?
You're the best. Appreciate all you do to help us non-knowledgeable people out. Hope you're settling into your new home state.
Rory
First digit on VIN is country of origin. Scotty says to try to stay away from vehicles made in 3 (Mexico). I alway think, 3 Not for Me.
