i looked up the maf for my car and its 900 dollars !!! i cant even believe that for such a small little part. i have a jzx100 98 tourer v chaser i imported a long time ago. its called 22250-50060 Toyota OEM Genuine METER ASSY, INTAKE AIR FLOW. i see some other brands but not sure what other ones are good besides toyota one thats 900 dollars and i definately dont wanna fall for that scam. thanks!

my car just randomly stalls if i rev it high and let off the gas in neutral so i think my maf is bad

If it makes you feel any better -

But before you go buying expensive parts, diagnose your problem well & make sure it’s indeed the MAF that’s bad..

Does your vehicle have an OBD2 port? Or any codes on the dash?

it has an obd 2 port i havent tested it for codes i dont see any on the dash

Well, start with scanning for any stored codes & post them here, if any show up.

The downside to importing a car....parts, even small ones like a sensor, can cost a fortune.

If you haven’t already, try cleaning the sensor. On my Prius, I Cleaned it, and it worked perfectly fine.

If it really needs to be changed, look for a Denso branded one that fits your car. Denso is the OEM for many Toyota parts.

i heard some cleaners can kill your maf... so i dont wanna accidentally brake it even more and for some reason its missing a bolt on it? weird maybe its got a vaccum leak from that missing bolt?

Some can. If you do need to clean it, I recommend CRC MAF Sensor cleaner. It’s made specifically for MAF.
