Hi Scotty! I got a 1998 Toyota Sienna with 250k miles on it and it needs new o2 sensor, Power Stirring Pump, Motor mounts, tires and new shocks, is it worth to spent all that money?
How much did you buy it for? Are you planning on using it as a daily driver? Are you going to fix those items yourself? If not, how much would you have to pay a shop to fix all those things? It's a 23 year old Toyota so I would imagine you don't want to pour a lot of money into it. If you bought it for $1000 or under and you can get all those issues sorted out for $2000 or so, then yes it might be worth it.
Actually I bought it back in 2010 with 130k miles. I was planning to buy the parts so I can take it to mechanic to do it. And another reason asked was cause I live in Florida and planing on moving to Texas soon so I wasn’t sure if just sell it or drive it over there.
Yeah I would try selling it if I were you. Texas does yearly inspections so you would have to get the oxygen sensors addressed to pass the inspection. You can probably skip the shocks as long as the van doesn't bounce around like crazy. If you can get all the other items you listed (minus tires) done for around $1000-1500ish, then it may be worth it. But if it pushes past $2000+ then it's probably not worth it with that many miles.
I wouldn't
How much would it cost to fix?
If its more than $1500 then you might want to see what you can get for it and get another car, or else it might be worth keeping it.
I would say $1000
