Good Morning, Scotty,

Thank you for all the good work you are doing, the whole world benefits.

Question- Toyota 2010 Rav4 v6 with 228k or Toyota 2009 Rav4 v4 with 188K?

Please advise.

Thanks again,

Sanket

I would personally go with the V6 since it's not affected by the oil consumption issues that the 4 cylinder Rav4s had from 06-09 (not every single one sold burned oil). Plus the V6 Rav4 is rarer than the 4 cylinder models which you see everywhere. If you can't decide between the two have them both checked out especially the 4 cylinder model, road test them and if the 4 cylinder doesn't burn any oil and it runs well you could go for that. it will just come down to your personal preference.

Too many miles for both. The 4 cylinder engines (it is i4 not v4) have less maintenance costs, but make sure it does not burn oil. The V6 have a tendency to leak oil, so make sure you check out that as well. And as always, have a mechanic check them before you put down any serious money.
