Toyota Yaris 2014 manual gearbox with ac, 70000 km. Always held service intervalls, never had any problem with the var what so ever. Always starts.
When my Yaris is warm and idles it makes a squealing noice (recorded in this video: https://youtube.com/shorts/PuX7tdTo0M0?si=rq-MB2yZ4PjIhYFS ).
I was to the Toyota official mechanic yesterday and they found nothing wrong. It was silent then because is was not hot. Mechanic recommended me to change starting battery which I did with no improvement.
I've changed the drive belt and tensioner wheel too. It sound when I've driven a while, say 20 minutes but only on idle. The noice is there no matter If I have the AC on or off.
I have some 90 kilometers one way to the Toyota dealership and mechanic there, I do not want to take another day off work to do the same procedure and maybe once again that they can't find any fault.
What can I do?
Wow and mechanic ass to see it when it's squealing. Then I can be figured out easily using the stethoscope the pinpoint where the noise is coming from. Realized if it's the belt squealing you're already changed the belt and attentioner. That would mean one of the things that it drives is starting to drag which will make it square. Things like wearing out alternator idler pulley AC compressor. They can all do that
