Transmission cooler lines

I have a 2000 S10 pickup truck with 2.2 l engine in an automatic transmission specifically the 4l60e. It has two cooler lines a pressure and return going to the radiator in the front. If you disconnect those lines and lose coolant out of them does that introduce bubbles into the transmission fluid? Where does that fluid go when it returns to the transmission? Can that little bit of fluid lost removing the radiator cause enough bubbling to overheat the transmission and destroy it?

yes

it gets sent to all the various moving parts before falling back down into the pan

no. The bubbles will just come out of the fluid. Same as engine oil.

Before you go for a drive, just idle the engine a little while and get it warmed up. Make sure you shift through all the gears, pausing 5 seconds or so on each one. Do that a few times and most of the air will be gone.
