Transmission dip stick

Dear scotty big fan love your stuff I watch every single video you produce.

2009 hyundai accent

130.000 miles

Automatic

Bought the car when it had 90something 000 miles ever since I bought it I noticed that 2nd to 3rd shifting delays only when temperature is really cold out. (Cleveland ohio) summer time no delays.

I had my mechanic drain out the tyranny fluid at around 110.000 miles based on the hyundai manual book maintenance schedule but he never measured the amount he drained out.

My question here is.

My dip stick shows full transmission fluid on  max when engine sat overnight and cold.

But when I started the engine and drove it till the my coolant temp reached 160F

Once that happened I checked the dipstick and I noticed my fluid level was on the cold mark.

Drove for a half an hour. Checked my dipstick again and my trans fluid was a little over the hot mark on the  max mark but there is empty tiny spaces in the middle between the cold and the hot mark as if the fluid is not touching the dipstick fully.

Any ideas what should I do?

I don't know if this will apply to the transmission, but I do recall on a few of my oil dipsticks that I had to pull the dipstick out, of course wiping it off, and letting it sit for a few minutes before putting it back in to withdraw it. Because, as you pull the stick up it leaves a residue on the side of the tube. By waiting, that drains out so it won't get on the stick as much when you check.

I hope I made sense.
