Transmission Fluid Change Timeline?

2016 Mustang V6, 57,000 miles, 6 speed auto.  Pretty much the base model WITH a few upgrades from the factory, original owner.

Although it's a Mustang, I've NEVER beat the heck out of it (like Scotty likes to say), no burnouts, no driving hard, no overheating, no DTC's or CEL's...let's face it, she's WELL taken care of with maintenance records to back that up!  Full synthetic at oil change time, thorough visual inspection front to back at each change for anything leaking...well you already know what I'll say next from the last sentence above.

Of those 57,000 miles, I'd say 75-80% is Interstate miles with the rest being stop & go town/city driving.  So curiously, based on what Scotty says about auto transmissions & fluid changes, when would be the best time to consider a drain & fill (not a flush!) to keep my Pony galloping happily along for many, many miles?  It auto shifts like a dream, paddle shift gear changes are nice & tight & I hear no unusual noises from it.  Again, taken care of.

Of course, Ford service guy is recommending a fluid change at 60,000 so I'm close enough to ask.  I know Ford "recommends" services that (most times) are simply not needed, they just wanna make money on the uninformed person!

So what's your opinion?  Let's hear the good & bad, OR just be the Devil's Advocate!  I can take it!

I’d go with manufacturers recommended interval. Just don’t ever let them sell you a flush.

Yeah, pretty much what I'm thinkin'. Couldn't hurt!

It is due for one at 60k miles. Just a drain and fill...no flush.

As I said to another person here, I'll have the service writer say these words back to me so there's NOOoooo mistake... "GRAVITY DRAIN & REFILL -NOT- A FLUSH!"

I think Scotty says 30-50k in his videos, or around there doesn't he?

Yeah, somewhere in that interval. I live in a warm(ish) climate here in Southeastern Virginia so extreme cold isn't an issue.

Extreme cold isn't a big issue for automatic transmissions. They warm up fairly quickly.

30k mile on cvt

50k mile for automatic /manual.

its so cheap to do cost me like 40$ for my 2010 accord bought at 60k miles did it every oil change after ward 3 times DRAIN AND FILL and now runs excellent.

Never flush, do it like an oil change, drain and refill same amount

I ran across a video on how to drain & fill this type of 6 speed, but I sure don't have the means to do it myself. There's so little ground clearance to begin with AND if I could lift it up, I'd need a 180 degree fill hose to reach up there & refill (kinda like a J hose or a candy cane shape)
Anyhoo, I'll let the service shop do it for me. If there's an issue, well, I have records on that too!

make u sure u re-iterate drain and fill and NOT flush

Trust me...I'll have the service writer say these words back to me when I specify "GRAVITY DRAIN & FILL, -NOT- A FLUSH!"
