Transmission fluid leaked while my van was parked

Hi Scotty. I have a 1999 dodge caravan and just have 144000 kms on it. It was parked was couple of hours and when I started it, all the transmission oil got leaked in the parking lot within no time. Is it because the torque converter seal broke? What are the possible ways to get it fixed as I do not want to spend too much for such an old van. I use this van for my job as I deliver stuff so I need this van.

follow the trail of oil to the source. Usually this is from the ATF cooler line popping off

Isn’t it because of the torque converter seal?
If not what should the cost of repairing/changing transmission cooler line?
I got it checked from a mechanic and he told me that we need a new transmission for it
I don’t think so that I will need a new transmission for that

It could be. I haven't seen it

You do not wanna spend too much, yet you need this van. Which one is it?

If it’s more than a simple leak, the repair is going to cost more than the value of the vehicle.

If you don’t trust the first mechanic, why not get a second opinion from another mechanic whom you/your trusted ones, trust?
