hey Scotty,

I have a 2015 Nissan Altima SV, it has 151,000+km. I got an oil change done today at Midas and the mechanic told me there might be a small tranny leak. He said he couldnt check for sure because there's no dip stick since its CVT but he told me its not anything major to worry about just get it fixed because over time it will leak, right now its just wet around a specific surface but no drops on the ground. Should I be concerned? How much will this job cost approximately?

@a_jafri
if there is no drops that is not considered a leak. if it only looks wet thats totally okay, drive as you wish. i notice that wherever there is rust and when it rains alot, water breaks down rust and it looks like a leak but its not. its the rust melting. if you can smell it and it is fluid just wipe it off with clean cloth. keep checking if you see alot of drops then have someone check the leak, if there is a crack then you will need that fix.

Well you'll have to ask a real mechanic. But I'm guessing a lot.
