Hi scotty hi forum,
Im a Fan from Venezuela South America, I have a 2002 4runner sr5 4wd, my transmission started leaking very badly and has almost no fluid. My question is, I dont remember if the fluid was ever changed and my car is 175,000 miles and im afraid of putting new fluid after de repair because of what ive heard. What should i do put new fluid after the repair? Would that destroy my transmission? I have the a340f transmission.

I don't think you have a choice. It needs fluid. You need to fix the leak first though.

Could be as simple as a bad gasket, get it in to someone.....
