i have a Jeep Commander Limited 2006. The dash says there is 176,000 miles but the code reader says 279,903 miles. but back to the question just had the radiator changed two weeks ago. now i am getting the temp code P0714 and P0218. the problem does not happen all the time. I have another temp gauge on it and I do see it spike than it drops back down. So what do you think is wrong? thanks David

Sounds like air in the system. Have it properly purged of trapped air.
Could also be a sticking thermostat.

Could you let us know what scanner do you use?
