  1. I drive a 2000 Nissan frontier with 226,000 miles automatic transmission, (4x4 but only use in winter) and recently I have had problems with the engine it has very low revs when idling and the car would just turn off if i put any pressure on the throttle but it handle fine once i got it going. (It was a bit of a problem in the the hour drive home lol) whenever i stop at a light or something i had to double pedal or put it in neutral to keep the revs up

You need to clean your throttle body and air sensor.

Oh i probably should have mentioned that i cleaned my throttle body, replaced air filter and changed rotor.in distribution cap

Did you clean your air sensor?

Was this a problem before you cleaned the throttle body and replaced the cap and rotor? There’s a small plate that the throttle screw rests on with those throttle bodies that I have seen bend over time but it usually causes a high idle but anything is possible

Clean the IAC valve as well.
