Do I have recourse for oil burning Kia Soul

Greetings!  I have a 2013 Kia Soul that I recently bought off my mother.  When it hit 100K miles, it started burning oil, so much that I'm adding a quart every two weeks.  The place where I get my oil changed told me that this was a common problem for Kias after 2009 and that Kia is aware of it, and there was a soft recall.  Anybody have any answers on this or have gone through the same problems?  Would like to take care of this before the engine blows up!  Thanks!

Sell it and get a Toyota.

Please read the FAQ ("Was my vehicle recalled?")

Check on NHTSA if it has a recall or not; if yes have them fix it for free then get rid of it and do what @doc said above. I'm seeing an average price of $10k for your car in my area. So yeah get rid of it and buy a Toyota or Honda is good too.

1 (800) 333-4542 is Kia's toll free number for customer service. https://ksupport.kiausa.com/ConsumerAffairs is the url. NHTSA is also a good idea.

That's a awfully large amount of oil consumption. Definitely abnormal and won't last long even if you keep topping it off.

Look at it this way. You never have to change the oil. As it is your doing a complete oil change every 2 months.

It's a Kia I rest my case.
