Upgrading to a newer car or keeping the current one as long as I can (Lancer 2006)

Hello, last year I bought with my father a Mitsubishi Lancer 2006 2.0L DE. It was on a garage without moving since 2020 so we had to put a lot of money to fix a lot of things, for example: Brakes, shock absorbers, alternator and etc.. I've been using this car to go to college and drive around 1 hour from and back, I enjoy my car a lot and have put money on it to make it look sportier and nicer, but should I instead save up to get a better car that I can enjoy more as an enthusiast?

The lancer currently has 245,500 miles on it and it's a automatic, lately it has been having brake issues with them locking up.

Hello!

My opinion: drive that one as long as it does not require costly repairs, and save the money for the next one when this breaks down.

Good luck!
