Hi Scotty,

I really appreciate the years you have put into helping the community and I have always consulted your past videos when looking into certain issues.

This may not be one for you as it is possibly specific to european markets but here goes....

My Volvo V50 has a Peugeot 1.6 turbo diesel engine. The service required light illuminated when the Additive dosing module (ADM) detected low levels of fluid in the secret tank containing the diesel particulate fluid. This Service light is triggered by a code in the ADM itself that is separate to the ECU. I have refilled the tank with the correct fluid and then after clearing the ECU it will remove the service required light until the ADM sends the code again (After a few seconds of starting up the engine). As i understand the code stored in the ADM can only be reset by Volvo using their VIDA software. Volvo wanted over $200 to clear this code that takes approx 1 min to perform. My worry is that the ADM will no longer dose my fuel (even though the additive tank is full) and could result in a blocked catalytic converter over time. Can you advise me on any work around or solution?

I vowed never to buy French or Italian but I bought this Volvo not understanding that they use Peugeot engines with a mix of Ford parts thrown in.

Thanks Scotty!

Where are you bought into that European money pick crap and that's what happens they charge that kind of money just to reset something or just as big as scumbags as they are here in the US. Hilariously enough Volvo is now on by the Chinese and pujo now owns Fiat Chrysler a rats nest of garbage
