Vibration in turns - not a CV joint

Topic starter

I have a 1996 Geo Metro 1.0 5 speed manual.

The car makes vibrations when cornering and accelerating. If I step on the clutch or put the car in neutral the noise disappears. No vibration on straights.

I have changed both CV axles and didn't help. I think that something is wrong with the transmission. The magnet on fill plug caught quite a bit of shavings in about 200 miles.

Any thoughts what's up with the transmission? Maybe diff bearings going bad?

Thanks

clean your ground cable connections, clean all your plugs with electronic cleaner spray. let us know

I would like to point out one thing. The vibration happens only when taking a right turn and accelerating at the same time. The car vibrates and clunks / grinds in this situation. The noise can be heard only inside the car.

Check replace suspension parts.

Pay attention to motor and transmission mounts (right side ;  ).

@hillbilly
Thank you for reaction. Yup, I already did that. No cracks or tears on the motor mounts. Nothing loose or damaged on the suspension.
