Hi Scotty.
What do you think of the W126 chassis Mercedes Benzes made in Germany? I know you are not a fan of modern Benzes made in Alabama. I am considering buying a 1991 W126 560SEL for only $12K. It appears to be in perfect condition with everything working right now.

Great cars. Not daily drivable, but fun weekend car. Solid like a bank vault.
If you are serious about restoring/ maintaining it, take a look at:
mercedessource.com
They have a lot of parts, kits, and instructions for you.
PS: be aware that a lot of regular car care places won't work on them, and dealers will charge $$$. If you don't have a good "Eurowerks Autohaus" in your neighborhood, you might be doing a lot of the work yourself.
