Hi everyone I saw this volvo the other day is a 240 from 1992 with 120,000 miles for $1700 do you think its worth it?
I have a 92 Volvo 240 and it is my daily driver. Mine has about 300,000 miles. I wouldn't sell it for less than 5,000. I have fixed and maintained the car including the interior and is a SoCal car. With this car mileage doesn't matter. The question is how does it run and what does it look like. These cars are very quickly becoming collectors items. In fact, the other day, I found a note on my car where someone wanted to buy it. Parts are readily available, they are simple and easy to repair, and they are in some ways the best cars ever (super safe, easy to drive with a great turning radius and great visibility, comfortable seats etc) By the time they made the 92, they had been building and improving this model for at least 10 years.
If you dont want it, i'll buy it!! if rust free and runs/drives sounds like a good deal. I love the old volvos and they are very hard to find with that low of mileage. Make sure he did not change the dash out for some reason. Thats really low mileage for a volvo.
Good point. The odometers break so likely mileage will not be accurate.
