Hey Scotty, You tell us to have a car we want to purchase by a mechanic or take a scan tool with us. If we have the Innova 5160rs that you use what should we be looking at? (as far as the codes and live data) Thanks love the show.
Andre
See below: still a good idea to have a seasoned pro like a Scotty plug the tool in and analyze the data. This stuff is not something you can just pick up, and you don’t want to prematurely misinterpret the data. In any event, here you go and I would practice on an existing car (try several friends and relatives’ cars to get more familiar):

TY!
You don't want to see any codes.
If you dont know what youre talking about please dont waste others time with BS answers.. No SH*T sherlock. Read my question.. what do we LOOK AT THE LIVE DATA etc.. Shhhhhh Adults are talking
Little anger management problem here.
Apparently, Beastcub, you're not understanding my answer. You asked about codes and live data. The first thing I want to see when checking a car out is no codes, THEN we move on to live data readings and analyze them to look for problems.
