What Can I do About My Situation?

Hey everyone, I'm in a little bit of a sticky situation, pun intended. Early this year Toyota had a recall for some of the fake leather that was used in vehicles from 2007-2012. When I took it to Westside Lexus, in Houston, they did every thing on this list except for the front and rear door trim panel on my 2007 Lexus LS 460 which has the melting and stickiness issue the worst out of anywhere else. Below is a summary I had at the dealership.

me: excuse me I thought you guys were suppose to change the door panels
them: no because we had a program a few years ago that covered it, but now the program has ended
me: well I wasn't notified about this program
them: that is because you don't service your car at Lexus making us unaware if the car is being used so therefore we don't send out letters

This could also explain why I wasn't aware of the recall this year until I saw Scotty's video, but in my opinion Toyota should still be obligated to tell me about ALL recalls about my car no matter if I go to them for service or not. So ultimately my question is what should I do? As I hinted before I am in the Houston area where it does get hot and humid which makes the "leather" melting worse and more sticky. I don't think I can live with this so should I sell the car or could I possibly convince the Toyota company to change the door panels for free.

Gonover the dealers head and call Toyota/Lexus customer service directly. Get them to agree to cover it and notify the dealer.
