what is your honest opinion on the 2016 chevy Silverado hybrid edition. They call it “E assist” only 500 were made in California for that specific year and in 2017 spread a little more out to Florida and other states. It gets decent MPG. I was really looking into purchasing one used it has bout 30k miles on it and it drives pretty smooth! Only thing I’m worried about is the longevity of the truck how long it’ll last me with all those extra components on it considering it’s a hybrid and it does have an lithium battery in it so it’ll eventually run out of energy.
Well they can't seem to make the non hybrid without massive issues. I doubt that adding all that extra technology would help. Perhaps there is a reason they only made 500?
The only brand of hybrid car, truck, whatever, I would ever buy is Toyota.

Scotty has stated his opinion of post-bankruptcy GM products many times: junk. (Typically in his videos when he uses the word "junkyard" a picture of a Chevrolet dealer flashes on the screen.)
Added to that, if only 500 of those hybrids were made then obtaining parts and service is likely to be problematical.
