[Solved] What Should I Do?

Hey Scotty, I own a 2004 Toyota Camry LE 2.4L engine with 156,088 miles. The car has a P0012 code "A" Camshaft Position  Timing Over-Retarded Bank 1. I got a Variable Valve Timing Solenoid from Auto Zone and the code still stays. I took it to the dealership and they said that Toyotas and aftermarket parts from those stores don't work well. Now they want to charge me over $300 for a OEM VVT solenoid. The car runs fine, it has great gas mileage, I have had this issue for about 9 months, what should I do?

Find out the OEM part # and buy it online from an authorized reseller or rock bottom auto for a much cheaper cost than you can get from the dealership.

It would definitely have to be a Official Toyota Part... Hopefully after I get the solenoid changed out that will get rid of the check engine light... HOWEVER if it doesn't it would require payment $1,100 to correct the engine timing.
