Looks like Mazdas suffer from cylinder deactivation (CD). And I believe you said that the Turbos aren't a good idea either.

Which year and trim is alright for the Mazda CX5 to avoid the CD and turbo? How can you tell if the engine has CD or not?

Thanks

Ditto to CX-30

Update: I called and the parts department said that no information was popping up when they did the VIN search. Is there anywhere else to find that information? On a sticker or anything?
I read somewhere online that they only introduced the cylinder deactivation for models 2018 and after, is that true? I only found one place that says that.
Thanks

Well the easiest way is to just get the VIN number of the vehicle and then you can call up any dealership parts department and with that VIN number they can tell you which features the car has. A lot of it has to do with production years even the month it was made so that's the only way to be absolutely sure
