I'm currently driving a 2015 Fusion SE. It's been serving me very well after 100,000+ miles. I'm going to have a family soon and purchasing a SUV may be necessary. However, I do want to get the most out of my Fusion to save money. What are some signs that a car is starting to fall apart? I've heard that when the transmission begins to show problem, it's time to trade in your old car and get a new one.
My second question is which of these car would last longer: Subaru Outback, Toyota Rav4, and Honda CR-V?
I'm not looking to buy a hybrid. A regular gas engine and second trim from the base trim is all I need.
Thank you!
I would say RAV4 or CR-V maybe even CX-5 but you could save more money and get a tried and true reliable SUV if you go used for example a 2017-2018 RAV4 / 2018 or so CR-V with the 2.4 engine would be my choises. Outbacks are ok but not as reliable as Toyota/Honda. If your Fusion is fine just continue driving it for now.
RAV4 is a great choice.
My top pick is the Mazda CX-5m stay away from the Outback, the others you mentioned are also good choices.
Fusion's can run 200,000 miles if well maintained.
Trade in values are not that high. So if it's running smooth, just keep driving it.
My suggestion for you my friend is to get a Toyota or a Honda definitely not a Subaru Toyota or Honda will last you forever you’re going to take me at the end I promise you that. Subaru has a lot of problems you’re going to regret it at the end.
