First I wanna say thank you to all for helping me and given me good advice for getting my car fixed . Kwik car was screwing me over and charging me 1500 dollars to get my car fixed. I went to Christian mechanic who fixed my car for 500 bucks so I recommend anyone whose live in frisco texas to go there.

But thats no what I'm here for . I finally saved enough money to buy new car so I need bit of advice it. I am planning to buy

Dodge hellcat wide body 2021

Ford shelby gt 500 2021

Corvette 2021

Which one should I get if not those what do u think of

Honda civic type r

Toyota supra

Subru wrx sti

Can you recommend me

My budget is around $100k been saving for 5 years thank you

If not those can you tell me similar one please

So I did some of my own research and planning before I go to dealer. I narrowed down my search of what car I am gonna buy. But still need ur advice. I am planning to buy long lasting reliable fast car so here are my picks
Honda civic type r
Subur wrx sti with manual transmission
Shelby gt 500 I also look up lotus Evora 500 look nice but is it reliable
And now for dumb question
I know dodge make most unreliable cars but hellcat is one their most expensive car why is it so unreliable and for subru do I have to worry about head gasket?

And one more thing I know supra was made by bmw the new one . Just like bmw is everything made out of plastic and does it break down really fast and is hard to maintain

And what about Lexus Lexus with v8 and 415 horse power not looking for hybrid or convertible

I was also planning to buy new corvette but found out it has recall dye to tires and system rebooting so I am gonna hang back from gm fiat and chrysler they are a disease

The engine is a BMW engine, the transmission is an 8 speed ZF, and the platform is the BMW CLAR platform. They are built in Austria. It is based on the Z4. Note: Manual transmission not offered

Thx for your help guys i am gonna stick with honda civic type r with some modifications I am gonna go to dealer on monday

If long term reliability and total cost of ownership with respect to performance matters:

  1. Honda Civic type r
  2. Subaru wrx sti
  3. Toyota supra
  4. Ford shelby gt 500 2021
  5. Corvette 2021
  6. Dodge hellcat wide body 2021

If it’s more about performance rather than longevity and cost:

  1. Corvette 2021
  2. Toyota supra
  3. Ford shelby gt 500 2021
  4. Honda civic type r
  5. Subaru wrx sti
  6. Dodge hellcat wide body 2021

If you are considering the current Supra, take a look at the BMW Z4. Both are based on the same platform. It was a collaboration between BMW and Toyota. Both are mostly BMW though, IMHO.

One car I might consider is the Lotus Evora 400.  It uses a a Toyota engine and Aisin transmission. It’s not as popular or well known as the other options. But it could be a contender.

As fun or the Lotus Evorathe engine and transmission will be up to par, but not sure if the rest of the car.

My vote would be for the V8 Lexus that you mentioned. The reason it has my vote is because it has a naturally aspirated engine and therefore the engine will outlast the others. My number two would be a tie between the Honda Civic Type R and the Subaru WRX STI.

If you won't get yourself killed get the Type R. My second choise would be a WRX manual.

Update: Chrysler (Dodge is a division of Chrysler) has a 100% merger with Fiat, the Italian company.
That should answer your question about why the Hellcat is unreliable.
Quality is not defined by the amount something costs. Anyways, I think you should avoid the Hellcat unless you will lease it.

Scotty was wrong from 8:20-8:30 in the video, that C63 AMG would crush a Type R in a straight line and actually posted a simliar time around the Nurburgring 7:43.8 vs 7:44. Scotty can be full of it at times and not truthful. He way over estiimates repair costs on German cars, and I think when he says this stuff he is either lying or is ripping people off who have german cars.

For the BMW Z4/Supra. Yes, modern BMW does use a ton of plastic.

In my 4-5 years of ownership of an X5, I spent more on maintenance than my 1999 Accord over 20 years.

BMW will perform. But they are money pits, even for simple fixes.

You mentioned “long lasting reliable fast car” which also implies it will be out of warranty eventually (unless you get an extended warranty, which is a different issue of its own), so all those other cars you listed I would pass over.  My revised list for you would be (in this order to get):

1. Lexus RC-F

2. Honda Civic Type R

3. Subaru WRX STI with manual

Now if you told me you were going to lease or keep under warranty only and then get rid of then the list would grow (and include those other cars).

You also should factor in insurance, in which the ranking of the 3 cars will change (relative to each other)!!

If we are adding the Lexus to the list, that may just top out my list above.

These are all very different car types. Before doing anything figure out what kind of car you want. As the others already mention, in terms or reliability honda or toyota are good options, STI manual too, and some lotus have a toyota engine, do your research. Also lotus are pretty light weight cars, especially compared to a hellcat. It looks like you just put a list ofcars that looks kinda cool but have nothing in common. Figure out what kind of car you want first. Then see your options.

It depends on what you want, if it is strictly a weekend car I would go Lotus all day! If it is a daily driver but you don't have children get the Supra. If you do have kids and want a daily get the type R or a lexus gs F. If you don't mind giving up some reliability get the corvette of Mustang, if you want to throw reliability out the window get the Dodge, if you want an offroad, and on road vehicle get the STI. Another option to look at is the nissan GTR. The BMW M3/M4 2021 seems like it will be reliable, it has basically the same engine as the supra just a second turbo, and it is beefed up, if you get it with a manual, I would put it between the Supra and the Mustang for reliability. There are other options but $100k gives you plenty of room to look at different cars, personally if I had that kind of money I would get a BMW M2 CS, being a CS it will hold its value and be fun on the road or track, I would take it over the Supra because it has useable back seats, more power, and is more fun to drive. You would have money left over and if their were repairs that need to be done, which happen less frequently on BMW's than people say you would have the money to repair it.
