Why is AC ouput different when set to Full Automatic mode vs Manual temperature mode?

I have a 2007 Honda pilot EXL.  The temperature controls can be set in two ways, both of which are consisered automatic.  The first way is to turn the ac button on and set the temperature dial to the set a temperature on the LCD panel of the system.  The car is supposed to control the AC temperature to that setting.  The second way to set the temperature is to hit the button for "Full Auto" and dial in the temperature with the knob.  What I noticed is that I only get cold air when the "full auto" button is used.  I have checked the blend door actuator and actually purchased a new one and the same thing happens.  Any ideas why the two temperature settings have different results?

One thing I do note is that in the winter, the temperature coming out of the vents with the heat is much hotter than the temperature that I set to.  There is a definite offset.  So to get 70 degrees for heat in winter, I usually set the heat to 60. This same offset happens in summer.  To get 70 degrees, I have to set the temp down to 60.

I have checked the freon levels and they are fine.

I am wondering if there is some kind of adjustment that can be made either mechanically or electronically to deal with the offset in temp.  Any ideas on this as well?

Thank you in advance.

Basically your system is breaking down Honda is a notorious for that electronically but as long as it works in full auto use that cuz if that finally breaks it's going to cost a fortune and computer module and sensor repair
