Why is the sienna so expensive? 34.5k for base model seems way too high. I'd pay 27k for one but not 34k

Which model year?

2021/2022 which ever the latest model is

all large toyota cost too much. please dont go buy a dodge just cause its half the price. be patient check used car sites everyday till you get a deal and ofc an inspection with it

But I mean sienna inparticulate is expensive. Tacoma, corolla, Rav 4, are all reasonably priced, but not the sienna. They should make a budget minivan

not in canada maybe youll have better luck out of state with a mechanic with you?

People see them as a quality product. Hence, they are priced accordingly.

Prices are going up on everything unfortunately.

Because they hold their value. That's why. You could get an equally nice older Sienna for way less money though. I have an '06 that I picked up for pennies compared to the cost of a new one. And it's actually APPRECIATED in value since I've gotten it.

It is because it has such a good reputation. If you think that the Sienna is expensive go check out the prices on the Toyota Trucks.

Tacoma is actually reasonable at a base model. I only do highway and anything luxury/offroad I don't need. Really the extra space and maybe a roof rack (which can always be 3rd party) is what I need for a reasonable price. With some decent gas mileage

Then go buy a Tacoma.

Well, they hold their value in the long run, but now that the Sienna is a hybrid I do question the depreciation and longevity of the 2021 Siennas and newer. Generally, Toyota hybrids have worse resale value than their non-hybrid cars.

Ask the Toyota sales department.

The price tag is worth every dime you pay. My uncle drives an ancient Sienna that has over 270,000 miles. It has never had any real issues except unavoidable tears and wears.
