Is a 2003 Honda Accord, EX Coupe. Only paid 1200 for it several months ago. Still runs good on the 2.4L but when VTEC kicks in she is burning oil. Those dreaded 2.4L stuck rings. Anyone do a piston soak on these? I’ve seen several people in other forums say they have and fixed the issue, but it’s never “I tried BLAH, and it worked!” Always something like Seafoam first, then marvel oil, then atf, etc. it’s always after trying 3-4 different things. Anyone do it with success first time? If so with what?

Mileage?

248k on the car. 160k on the motor. Probably gonna get one from junkyard and rebuild it, then eventually swap it. I just know the 2.4’s have an issue with the oil rings sticking. Was a recall on them for it but I’m past that.

I doubt there's a magic bullet for that. Cleaners might help a little bit, for a little while, but is it worth the effort.

You got a running car for a song and dance. Might be best just to live with a little oil consumption.
