Wrong Tranny Fluid

Hello! I have a 2012 Honda Civic. The previous owners had all fluids changed regularly at the dealership. I had just changed the transmission fluid at 90000 miles with the genuine honda fluid. However, when my father and I were changing the oil at 96000 miles he drained the transmission fluid instead of the oil!!! I was very upset because there were no stores open to get more genuine fluid that day so I had no choice but to get some generic dexron at autozone and change it again. (Had work next morning and needed car) My car has been running fine and now has 108000 miles. Is it safe to drain my tranny fluid and add the good genuine fluid back in? Or would it be safer to do an entire tranny flush instead of a drain?  Thank you. I plan to drive this car for a long time.

Since it's been running fine until now, a drain+fill should be sufficient.

funny you should post this right after Scotty posted a video about how sensitive Hondas are to transmission fluid.

Flushing can cause more problems. I wouldn't risk doing a flush.
