| Have a mechanic give it a look over. If nothing is wrong, they can go for hundreds of thousands of miles. Like riding on a cloud. I love my land yachts. {black} | |||||

| Hey Scotty, I'm looking at a 2003 Lincoln Town car with 155,000 miles. It has already had the air to coil spring suspension conversion done which is why I am interested. It was driven by an old man for all 17 years and has documentation of changing the oil every 3,000 miles. Would this make a good first car? Will it be reliable for years to come? Would I be better of with a Camry or Accord? Thanks! | |||||

| If it was me, I'd take that $3500 and put it in a S&P 500 index ETF. In 5 or 10 years, when that RAV will need some serious maintenance (that isn't covered by the Toyota warranty), you'll be a lot better off than if you try to get repairs on what is typically a loophole-filled contract. | |||||

The dealer asked 3500 for this warranty they are saing that this car is 80% computer stuff and only 20% mechanical. I appreciate your opinion. Thanks | |||||
| RE: I know buying a classic car isn't a good idea to buy as a first vehicle but do you think it's a good idea to swap out the original parts from the vehicle and put modern car parts in it? I'm just wondering. | 6Relevance | 5 years ago | MountainManJoe | Submit Your Question HERE | |

| 1999 Honda Accord from the beginning. And I still have it 22 years later, now at 270K miles! I put over 200K on it with the first 8-10 years of ownership. And the last 70K in the last 10-12 years. It was super reliable the first 200K. Only started having repairs beyond basic maintenance after 200K miles. In retrospect, I should have driven it more the past 10 years, instead of my other cars. I never appreciated the quality and reliability of Honda, until I had to spend $$$ on repairs and maintenance of a BMW. | |||||
