| My wife's car is a 2009 Buick LaCrosse, 3.8l Engine, automatic trans, with 168k miles. We live in SE Kentucky and on the way back from Cincinnati for Christmas the transmission started messing up. We got home and the code came back as a P0741 Torque Converter. It is at the transmission shop now. Something weird happened on the way to Cincy though and it happened on the way taking it to the Transmission shop. All the electric went off and back on, but the engine still ran and accelerated while the electric was off. None of the electric has dimmed though and t ... | |||||

| Today I got in my mom's 2010 Buick LaCrosse and turned on the heated seat because it was below 30, and it turned on but didn't heat up and after a minute the lights would turn off. I tried on all 3 stages and the same thing happened. I turned the cooling seat on to see if it was like that but it worked just fine. | |||||

| Hello there. I have a 2005 Buick LaCrosse CXL with the 3.8L V6 and 4-Speed Automatic Transmission. The car rides fine, but when it comes to hills, it seems like it struggles to get up them fast enough. It really struggles if it’s a very steep hill. Am I not stepping or stomping on the gas like I should be or is it something else? | |||||

| Scotty I have been watching you videos and wanted to take the time to ask your opinion. I have been looking at buying a sedan. My options are a 2018 Volkswagen passat R line with a 2.4, 2017 Honda CRV EX-L with the 1.5T, 2017 Honda Accord with 1.5T, or a 2017 Buick LaCrosse with the 3.6. What is your opinion? Which car is going to be a good reliable car? Thanks, Shane | |||||

| I'm not a fan of Buick. They are a better-quality GM brand but that's not saying much. The LaCrosse has a lot of room, but the powertrain has known issues that I wouldn't want to mess with. | |||||

| If you plan to keep the vehicle for as long as possible and put as many miles on it as possible (trouble-free) then this is not the vehicle for that. See below for some possible issues, this is in addition to the random electrical gremlins that can pop up over time. | |||||

| Scotty I have a 2006 Buick LaCrosse 3.8L with 58,000 miles on it. I was using conventional Quaker state 5W-30 it would use a quart every 1000 miles. Just switched to conventional Castrol GTX 5W-30 I've driven it 4000 miles and its only used 3/4 of a quart. The car doesn't leak so why does it burn one oil and not the other? | |||||

| Different places will tell you different things. Did you pay both these mechanics for inspections? I am more inclined to believe that it is a software issue and not a hardware issue. Leaking transmission lines will cause the trans to overheat, not to sure if that causes hesitation between only 2 gears though. Kinda sus. I would get a 3rd non-dealership professional opinion. Try this? | |||||
