| 2017 Buick LaCrosse - engine carbon buildup fix | 29Relevance | 4 years ago | Paradox | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| My 2017 Buick LaCrosse has 50,000 miles and the check engine light has come on. My trusted independent repair shop says the code is specific to the fuel module. This has been replaced 3 times (I was only charged once) and soon thereafter the check engine light comes back on with the same code. They eventually replaced the fuel pump but the problem persists. My mechanic has called local GM dealer mechanics he knows as well as putting the issue out there on all the internet mechanic related web places he knows. Nobody seems to have an answer. I googled some s ... | |||||

| ... transmission, got 40k miles just over 3 years, just out of warranty, then 3 gears slips, still driving it in town for almost two years by shift manually. So ringings true to want you often say about rebuit transmissions and being able to continue to drive cars. Paid almost $5000 so got screwed on that. I'm looking to replace it with a Buick rainer, last year made was 2007, I'm hoping to find one from a private party, inline 6, most are All-wheel driveway, so will likely have to settle on that and needed for Chicago area winters, looks to go for betwee ... | |||||

| Answer to: Your Perspective On All New Buicks? | 18Relevance | 4 years ago | Whatchamacallit | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| noticed that the entire Buick line is either made in South Korea or (mostly) China. Only the Buick Enclave is assembled in the US (in Michigan). But that’s splitting hairs since a lot of the parts content is made in China (true for a lot of automakers), and the overall quality is still poor. Buick as a brand only exists because of the Chinese market. | |||||

| Just was reviewing the Buick Web Page, and noticed that the entire Buick line is either made in South Korea or (mostly) China. Although think I know the answer, was wondering if you feel the quality of the Buick product line has suffered in quality since their manufacturing migration to Asia? | |||||

| Answer to: 87 Buick Electra Park Avenue o2 sensor | 17Relevance | 7 months ago | Chuck Tobias | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| That kind of thing can frequently be an issue when dealing with a car that is nearly 40 years old. Rockauto lists O2 sensors and spark plug wires for that car, which may or may not be correct. OEM is best but major brands such as Bosch or NTK may work. Rockauto provides photos of the parts which may help in identifying whether thay are correct. | |||||

| If it is sentimental, it is sentimental. If it’s 2 grand and is projected to last sometime, why not? But if it is 2 grand and would go into a money pit, probably try to not be so sentimental. I recommend looking into the following cars of the same platform to see what there potential problems and lifespans were/are, to see if they might come up for your car: Related Buick LeSabreBuick Park AvenuePontiac BonnevilleCadillac SevilleCadillac DeVille | |||||

| From what I found online, this Alpheon el300 is a Korean Daewoo (Daewoo is now formally known as GM Korea). Daewoo was less successful and popular than Kia or Hyundai. Now, from my brief search, it seems that this Korean Chevy is actually a localized version of a Buick LaCrosse. So, if that is true, check into reviews for that year's Buick LaCrosse. That's one thing. Another goes to parts availability, in future. That's also something to check into, given that there are likely to be some differences between this Korean Daewoo/Chevy/Buick and an Ameri ... | |||||

| The 3.8 engine is pretty good but the rest of it is basic junk if you want to check it out look here: If you like Buick better, I think you should because of the lower amount of complaints: I doubt the Park Avenue sold 180 times less than the Impala I think the Buick is better personally. Also, I think you are jumping about 80s retro cars and 2000s Camrys and old Corollas and 2000s GM cars what do you really want? If you are fine with just an A to B car with an engine and you don't care about anything else maybe the Chevy might be OK but reall ... | |||||

| @chucktobias I really love the older Buicks and the lesabre is a favorite! Yes, toyotas are very good but they lack the bench seat I really like! Sad to see none in any newer cars! I do happen to have both a camry and a tundra! But as far as comfort, room and ride goes, the Buick wins every time! If maintained well they can last up to the 300000 mile mark and more! I know people might say I'm crazy but the camry would go before the Buick! | |||||

| Hey Scotty, People say that the Buick that comes with the 3800s such as the lesabre's and Lucerne come with Bulletproof engines. They are highly revered . Some even put them on the same level as Toyota's and Honda's.- especially when you don't want to pay Toyota and Honda prices. Yeah they may say that the engine lasts forever but what about the surrounding parts? Will you always have to pay for little Knicks and knacks to be repaired although the engine is so-called Bulletproof? Because that adds up quickly! My question to you is is the 2006 to 2008 Buick ... | |||||
