| Answer to: 2013 Lincoln MKX- Reliable? | 17Relevance | 2 years ago | Kaizen | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| You would think since it is the same engine, it would be reliable. Alas, this engine has some nuances to it. If the engine is longitudinally mounted, it is a decent engine. I believe in most F150 trucks, they are longitudinally mounted. However, there is a probably when they are transversely mounted. They relocated the water pump to be driven by the timing chain, and a water pump failure is catastrophic to engine. I am 99% sure the mks is transversely mounted. | |||||

| I've got a 2002 Honda Accord with 123k miles on it. It runs and drives fine, but it is still a 20+ year old car, so I want to try and get something newer. I'm looking at two possibly choices. One is a fully loaded 2010 Lincoln mks that's AWD, has the 3.7 V6, and has a bit over 102k miles on it with an automatic transmission. The other is a 2013 Honda Accord sport with 140k miles on it. But the thing is, it has a 1 speed CVT transmission. For the most part, I think CVT's are terrible but I did hear that the ones that Honda makes are good. But I wanted to just ... | |||||

| ... a 2001 Audi A8 4.2 Quattro automatic with 280000km on it. Considering I live in Ontario the winters get really bad some years so awd would be nice but im not sure about the reliability! I can work on some easy to moderate stuff in my garage ( I replaced turbos on my mks) but anything more than that i wouldn't want it because I can't afford a shops rate. Thank you for any advice and have a great day! | |||||

| I currently have a 2009 Lincoln mks. I am broken hearted that 2020 is the last year. I want to buy the new Continental but, need an opinion on reliability and type of engine. My father was a master mechanic and died young. I lost the one person to give me advice. Thanks in advance. I’m open to the MKZ as well. Just do not like that the MKZ is assembled in Mexico. Welcome to Tennessee. I’m your neighbor. | |||||
