| Besides the issues Chuck points out, do you have an idea of what it costs to ship a car from the US to the UAE? I can't imagine that it would not be cheaper to buy the car there. Here's a web site to get a quote: The customs, titling and insurance could also be a major paperwork challenge. | |||||

| The K24 series engine is one of Honda’s most resilient. With that said the K24W (Earth dreams), although it is a K-Series, has some modifications to it, the biggest difference is direct injection instead of port/multipoint injection, and Atkinson cycle engines instead of the Otto cycle. I actually think the Atkinson cycle is a plus, in terms of longevity, it makes it easier for the engine to “breath”. That’s just my non-mechanic opinion, and I could be wrong. But I am concerned with the direct injection. TMK, Honda hasn’t had too many problems with dire ... | |||||

| It’s the 1.5L turbocharged I4 (and to an extent even the 2.0L turbocharged I4) that are notorious for the oil dilution issues. The 2.4L naturally aspirated I4 is less susceptible to it, and being out now for 5 years I haven’t heard any systematic oil dilution issues with that engine. However, this forum has 2 instances where Accords with the 2.4L NA EarthDreams engine also suffered from oil dilution. Since you haven’t noticed any signs of the issue in your CR-V, I wouldn’t worry about it. If there was an issue, it should have manifested itself in your vehicle, by now. Here’s what’s Scotty has to say about this engine - | |||||

| I kind of prefer the 1970 AMX over the earlier ones since it has the full ball-joint front suspension instead of upper trunnions. Better suspension geometry and much easier to service. (Still has vacuum wipers though, but you can't have everything.) | |||||
