| Avoid it. If you want a subcompact suv go for a hr-v or corolla cross or if something a bit bigger then cr-v or rav4. | |||||

| I took a trip in the ecosport which is the smaller version of the Escape. I am a tall fat guy who needs room and I had plenty. The other part I liked about it is that car had a 2.0L natural aspiration engine. NO TURBO. The gas milage was stellar. I am going to look into buying one of these. Seriously that is MUCH better than the 3cyl escape. Word to the wise. Go look at one and try it. But I AGREE with the average opinion here. 50K on you escape? Drive it till its well over 100k or sell it as a private seller. If you trade it in they will export it. Wh ... | |||||

| Unfortunately, that's Ford for you. They don't care about their customers whatsoever. I would never buy one of their products these days. Your engine broke and they're unwilling to help you out with it. So if I were you I'd probably hire a lawyer. They've had so many problems with those engines. It would make your head spin. They just don't stand behind it and I'll try to blame you. Or you didn't change the oil enough or some nonsense like that. They've really gone down in quality with those Ford motors. Ford would probably go bankrupt if they had to fix all their problems for free. So they deny everything and help you go away. So probably the best thing to do is to hire a lawyer | |||||
