| Ik some dude in Germany has over half a million miles on his tesla Model S, but he probably got lucky or something. teslas are poorly made and they are not cheap to buy or own due to their lack of quality when assembling them and the poor dealership network. I predict that the German, Swedish and Japanese brands are gonna crush tesla for longevity. | |||||

| tesla has a reputation for poor quality and very expensive repairs (Tesla does not publish repair info). If she wants to go electric for some reason it would probably be best to wait for the electric models coming from major manufacturers. | |||||

| Can't say the same, unless the us government is outright lying, tesla's had (when I looked) around a 70% less fatality accident rate compared to the average us driver. Now part of this problem will be people rely far too much on self driving, but that's not going to be just tesla when others make full self driving. | |||||

| I know I am in the minority opinion on this. I concur with Toyota that the tesla Model Y is a work of art. And I’m not talking about the fit and finish, because that part is trash. I’m talking about the innards of the car. I know both Toyota and Honda (and perhaps others) by competitors cars to learn and study and innovate. And IMHO, Toyota and Honda do the best job of this study. Because they approach they keep that curiosity open, to what makes other (successful) cars tick. Toyota most notably did it with a Benz, to develop their Lexus brand. And Hon ... | |||||

| I think the market is great for this reason. If folks want a EV or tesla, they can get it. If folks want an ICE, they can get it. If folks want a hybrid, they can get it. Most focus on here will be pro ICE and anti EV for all very good reasons. And folks that get tesla, they get them for another whole host of reasons. It all depends on a persons circumstance and desires. | |||||

| In your situation, I'd look for something else. Jeeps have terrible build quality these days and with no charge station at home, the tesla will be a headache. If I were choosing between the two and HAD to choose one, I'd take the tesla as I'm a tech geek and simply refuse to buy Stellantis made vehicles. | |||||

| Are teslas Garbage??? Yes - My impressions from tesla are the same as from an early Chinese car. The car is not built how it should, repair info is scarce, and part availability is even worse than of a no-name Chinese SUV How is tesla different from MG? Geely? Haval? Chery? The answer is that it's on the same level, but while others are maturing, IMO tesla doesn't. They're getting ran over on the Euro market, "China's assault on european electric car market gathers momentum" And on the US market, and my local market, the hottest electrifi ... | |||||

| Personally tesla is interesting I don't hate them because they are "better" for the environment, but I don't like them because heavily anti consumer. 1. tesla's don't have nearly as many complex parts making it potentially more reliable 2. People suck at driving especially now, tesla's drive better than most people. 3. Self driving (with that pay increase) is Wonderful as you really can just relax in traffic. 4. You can charge them at your home or a super charger, yes you still take a long time charging it, but if it's a daily commute vehicle you're actu ... | |||||

| I know tesla vehicles are supposed to be environmental friendly and I also believe that the 0.00001% of the world population that drive tesla doesn’t help improve the environment a bit. on the other hand, the hassles of owning a full electric vehicle is endless. 1. You have to own a home to charge your vehicle overnight. I imagine living in an apartment and owning a tesla an inconvenience. 2. You have to remember to charge your damn car. If you own a gasoline car, the gas station is right down the street. 3. A regular mechanic may not know how to fix you ... | |||||

| ... will take over on that line), but Toyota is slowly catching up to them with their recent launch of EV concepts and near-production electric cars. However the European brands are getting ahead and I think VW, Audi, Porsche and BMW are gonna be the first to eat tesla's lunch (With the ID4, etron SUV and sedan, taycan and upcoming Macan Ev, and the BMW iX and i4 sedan) then the Japanese should follow (although IDK about Honda since they made the dumb decision of partnering with GM for EVs and god knows if they will ever make good EVs, only time will tell). | If you ever heard of a guy called Rich Rebuilds he's a pretty good person to be looked at when it comes to the realities of tesla in general. He's done several builds of em where he frankensteins two together into one and whatnot. Also talks about the current downfalls and such. Currently he's doing a v8 swap tesla and that to me is pretty metal. | |||||

| IMHO, the tesla motor and battery pack technology are the best in the industry. tesla fit and finish is subpar. I concur, that the company is wayyy overvalued. The only reason it has "profit" or break even is because of clean car credits they sell to other companies. If it was just on the cars alone, I don't think it is profitable. | |||||
