| Hello everyone, I have a 2022 ford edge titanium equipped with a 2.0 Ecoboost 2.0 Turbo DOHC with 31,000 Miles and I have a check engine light (quality ford product..) Scanned the computer and I got the code P2AB8 Wastegate Position Sensor 'A' Circuit Low. Car runs like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Any ideas? Help! | |||||

| Scotty, love the videos. They are great and no bull. my ford edge Ltd 2012, 112,000 miles likes to shut down the Synch system every once in a while when I shut the car off. It will stay off for several days and I won’t have gps, stereo, phone, and the heated seats. Then all of a sudden the system will pop back on and go through a reboot process. It’s annoying as you might imagine. could this be a loos connection or a software problem. A dealer will charge a bundle to run a diagnostic. | Hey there Scotty am looking to by a used car ford edge sel 2015 model FWD currently it’s sitting on 144,000km it has been maintained through dealership and all service records are available. It’s only registered to original owner and has taken care of the car. My only concern is that it had a factory recall where the transmission was changed and a new one has been put through ford dealership with a 2year warranty. Should I go ahead and make the purchase or should I stay away from the car? Kindly help | |||||

| I must say, I incidentally rented an edge. Never driven a Passport. I’ve driven a Pilot which is similar. I quite enjoyed the edge. It had some pep. It felt luxurious for its class. I had a love hate with the touchscreen. Although I have never driven a Passport, I trust Honda’s quality a little more. And I’m not to concerned with the engine because it’s based on the Pilot and MDX platforms. So it is quite well tested despite being new. With that said not too sure about the transmission either way. The only thing that BUGGED me BIG TIME about the edge was the chrome by the window and door knob/lever in the exterior. I feel like I am going to cut my fingers every time I close the door. The fit and finish for that piece is horrible and potentially dangerous. Also not to big a fan of Ecoboost/Turbo. | |||||

| Is the edge reliable? Supposedly the 2014 was one of the best years but are any of them particularly "lemons" in your experience? Not really. That naturally aspirated v6 engine alone (with water pump internal to the engine and driven by timing chain) is a dealbreaker. Even to replace the water pump (assuming it has not already damaged the engine - worst case) is a partial engine out operation, which will get very expensive. | Hey Scotty. Just recently discovered your YouTube channel and I’ve been watching a bunch of videos. I have a 2019 ford edge Titanium with around 94k miles. For the last 5k miles or so under normal acceleration the car judders after it gets out of the first couple gears usually from 20 mph and sometimes it’s pretty consistent and then sometimes it’s hardly noticeable. | ... no error codes that I borrow fancy computer to read all error codes which there are none and checked shifting pattern delay which is 30 sec to 1 minute delay (out of spec) interment issue mainly show issues in cold weather or start first time for the day, checked oil level which is full and looks fine (no funny smell and different colors), had transmission oil changed on July 2021. | I have a 2013 ford edge Limited with 3.5l V6 that cranks but wont start sometimes but not all the time. If I push the gas pedal it will start a little slow, then it runs fine.
