| Buick Regal taillight assemblies melting | 17Relevance | 2 years ago | hah | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| The plastic taillight assemblies on my 2013 Buick Regal melted around the brake light bulbs. The car has 65,000 miles on it. A mechanic advised me to replace the taillight assemblies, which I did with used OEM parts (parts are no longer available from Buick). It's been less than 500 miles, and these are burning the plastic around the brake light bulbs, too. The bulbs are the correct ones. Several mechanics have checked the plug-in connectors coming from the car and said they are working properly. So, why is the plastic melting? The car was rearended a ... | |||||

| I have a 2001 Buick Century 3.1 l V6. My car drove fine and over the course of about 2 days it started becoming very sluggish when under load. It will idle fine. When we hook the scan tool to the vehicle it gave the code p0404 which comes up as EGR. It also threw a code for random misfire. I forgot to write that code down and do not recall what it is. Replaced EGR valve. Vehicle still has random misfire on all cylinders. The check engine light does not come on. Things that I have changed trying to find this misfire, plugs, EGR valve, wires, coil packs, ignit ... | |||||

| ... pedal to give the engine gas to move the car, the more and longer you hit the accelerator, the faster the car will go. Generally speaking, a hybrid in my book, has a gas engine and electric motor. The gas engine comes on and off as necessary to move the car. The electric motor comes on as necessary to move the car. And they both can work together to help move the car. Or they can work independently. It matters on driven conditions, and when you press the accelerator, the computer figures out which combination of gas engine and electric motor works best ... | |||||

| Buick used to make good cars but now they are more like luxury cars and they have electronical. They break down before reaching 100000miles and their maintenance cost is really expensive. In my opinion if you wanna go with Buick lease it. But if you reliability and performance get honda civic type R or honda civic si coup both are fun zippie cars and last u for long time if taken care properly If you.want performance and luxury get acura. Acura is honda luxury line | |||||
| Buick 3.9L engine | 17Relevance | 5 years ago | cmac | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi Scotty I recently bought a Buick 2011 Buick Lucerne with a 3.9L V6 engine. I tried doing some research and found that the 3.8L engine was highly rated whereas the 3.6L was garbage, however when looking into the 3.9L I couldn't find anything. I was wondering if you knew where the 3.9L would rate between the 3.6L and 3.8L. Thank you. | |||||
| 2017 Buick Lacrosse Reliability | 17Relevance | 4 years ago | CrisAfana | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I LOVE the 2017 Buick Lacrosse, everything about it, the price, the interior, the exterior, everything. I am just worried about the reliability. I know the GM makes a pretty crappy prouduct nowa days but Lacrosse doesn't seem to really have any issues, the drive train also seems to be not that bad. The transmission is a Toyota derived Aisin 8 speed automatic, which should be reliable, and the engine is a simple 3.6 v6 without any turbos. I know that the 3.6 had issues in the past when it released in the late 2000s, but by now these issue probably have been ... | |||||

| I have a 2004 Buick Rainier V8 CXL, Automatic, 182,214 miles. I was gone for 6 months so it just sat. Not ideal, but that's life. I replaced the battery, because it was dead. New battery was at 12.73V. The problem: 1) It's a Buick 2) After I replaced the battery it started like a champ, but after about 5 minutes the car died. I test drive it and it was all normal for the first 2-3 minutes, then the car died. I restarted it, continuing to drive, and I noticed it would die if I didn't keep my foot on the gas (maintaining RPMs). Once I took my foot off, t ... | |||||
| Used 2016 Buick Regal Turbo - What's the reliability like | 17Relevance | 4 years ago | Tall_Dork_and_Handsome | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I've already seen Scott's video on car brands rated from worst to best, so I get the general consensus on GM vehicles. However, I thought Buicks were the exception? I have found a used 2016 Regal Turbo 2.0 L with 51,000 miles on it. It is a beautiful car and it is for a VERY good price. The later is why I took a "THIRD" look and finally it for a test drive. I was impressed.... it feels very solid and wow, all that power. What I'd like to know is just how reliable this car is? I have done my research online on the Opel/Vauxhall Insignia and its not ve ... | |||||

| Hi Scotty, Long time fan, I am looking for something cheap (<$5000) that i can use as a daily driver that can last me the next couple of years. I currently am looking at 2 options 2004 Toyota Camry 4 cyl (180,000 kms): $5000 2001 Buick Lesabre 3800 (140,000 kms): $3500 Insurance would be around $30-$40 cheaper on the Buick, and it is in immaculate condition as well. The Toyota is a little beat up but its the cheapest I can find in my area for reasonable mileage. I havent really heard you mention the 3800 gm engine too much, but everything I’ve read/wa ... | |||||

| I own a 2017 Buick Encore with 27,254 miles on it. I was driving it home one day and the mileage screen and the gauges went black for about 10 seconds. I was still able to drive it, and it came back up and it reappeared. I looked online to see if other people had the same issue and I found one question in a forum and they went back to the dealer and the dealer told them it was normal. That it was a computer glitch. What would you suggest to do. It has not done it again but I am just concerned about the future. I bought the car new right off the Buick dealer ... | |||||
