| Scotty - It's a 2017 Ford Edge Titanium 2.0 Ecoboost with 52K miles. We like to drive to the beach in North Florida often and the warning light doesn't bother us too much on the trip. But around town, the "Service Charging System Now" bonks at us a lot. I had the alternator and battery changed, didn't make a difference. So I started poking around and dug out the fuse chassis completely. The main 275LT fuse welded to the chassis was fine. Everything looked and smelled clean. | Hey Scotty Been working on my 4v6 Ford Ranger Edge 2005 with automatic transmission. Did not notice anything serious right until now. So, based on a gauge it takes a long time(10+ mins) for the truck to warm up(first start only). A lot of white smoke and condensation is coming out of the tailpipe. So, it gave me a suspicion that there is a coolant is mixed with combustion gases. Another thing I looked at was an oil filler cap. There was a white sludge under it. | The Ford Edge is a bit unusual. The water pump is INSIDE the crankcase. But I'm still skeptical of his claim. I doubt that the bearing is lubricated by engine oil , or that oil even touches the water seal. | |||||

| I have a 2019 Ford Edge with about 70,000 miles. Every time I fill up the tank, immediately after when I start the vehicle and start driving, the vehicle will idle rough at the next red light. I have taken your advice on not adding more fuel after the pump stops so it doesn't mess up the evap canister. The rough idling only last for a few minutes and by the time I get home it clears itself up and no longer has a rough idle. Could the evap canister be going bad? | |||||

| Scotty, I have a 2010 Ford Edge all wheel drive 167,000 miles and for the most part has been running good no major issues. I received a emission notice from the state and went to the testing facility thinking no big deal. I was shocked when I was told I failed do to no communication with there device. I took my vehicle to my mechanic and he hooked up his scanner and got a reading no problem. Went back and same thing. Went to a different mechanic, his scanner also worked and no issues with the vehicle. Went to a different testing facility and failed again ... | |||||
