| RE: 2021 KIA TELLURIDE | 15Relevance | 5 years ago | Glen_stet | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| No, these reviews are not by Kia employees, exactly, but rather "journalists" who are flown to vacation destinations and wined and dined, and provided with test cars, track days, etc. The cars are especially prepared by Kia techs. The "journalists" are employed by magazines and web sites which receive their funding from car manufacturers, such as Kia. These reviews are bought, just like many if not most Amazon and Yelp reviews. | |||||
| How to instal Apple CarPlay in a 2019 Kia Soul base trim? | 22Relevance | 5 years ago | MappleGenius | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| My mom just purchased a used 2019 Kia Soul with base trim. Purchased it from a great licensed dealer. I asked the guy who sold it to her if it comes with Apple CarPlay included because both me and my mother have iPhones and I know a lot of people dislike the built in hands free units that come with a lot of cars these days. Not to mention there’s almost no learning curve to using Apple CarPlay. I asked the dealer if they could update the cars head unit software so we can use CarPlay. He said he doesn’t know much about that kind of stuff and that I’d have to ... | |||||
| Are Kia Electric Vehicles Reliable? | 15Relevance | 5 years ago | Owen Klaassen | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Scotty! I’m looking at some Kia electrics (The Soul EV and the Niro EV). I know you’re not a fan of Kia, however I’m wondering what you would think of a Kia Electric as a lower priced EV. Would they be decently reliable for a lower priced option? Or would they be a pile of crap? Thanks! | |||||
| Kia Sorento from Hell | 22Relevance | 5 years ago | Ardenlee | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| So...on Feb. 5 2020, we were almost home when the car died (2014 Kia Sorento w/85,000 miles). It restarted...backfired and wouldn’t go more than 45 mph. Then, we were home and realized there were also no brakes...that was fun. Anyway...had the car towed to FUCCILLO Kia in Schenectady, NY. So far, first was throttle body, they replaced that...not the problem. Then replaced some gasket...not the problem. But, charged for parts/labor anyway. Since then we get bi-weekly updates about the tech looking and corporate giving them direction. So far, they don’t know ... | |||||
| RE: How long will my car last? | 22Relevance | 4 years ago | KrisTTBoda | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| It was a 2007 Kia Picanto made in South Korea, Euro-spec. I bought it from the second owner. It had like 36,660 miles on it. It ran fine the first few months of ownership, but then it started to drain my wallet. The crankshaft position sensor had to be replaced. I remember the car constantly threw codes. One day all of a sudden it was running rough and smoked. I took it in and they had it for a week before replacing the piston rod in the engine. Later the car died on the highway with check engine light flashing - I had to get it towed to the nearest garage. ... | |||||
| 2017 Kia Rio why is my oil disappearing without any visible leaks? | 15Relevance | 5 years ago | driver613 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Is it hard valve seals on a 2017 Kia Rio? Have you ever changed the valve seals on a Kia Rio? I have a 2017 Kia Rio four cylinder with 138,000 miles on the odometer. I'm losing oil at an accelerated rate. There is no oil on the ground so I know it's an internal oil leak. Aside from valve seal is there anything else that I should change that would be causing this issue? Please respond with any help or suggestion or how to video as this is my everyday driver and it's getting worse by the day thank you | |||||
| Answer to: 2014 Kia Soul engine blew up. | 15Relevance | 5 years ago | MrBob | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Who told you the car warranty is void? Somebody paid for that 10 year 100K warranty. It was built into the price of the car. I would try complaining to your state attorneys generals office. In New York you can do it on line. Just have your documentation in order including the receipt that says your warranty is void. There was a class action suit over the hyundai / Kia engines from that era blowing up. Kia was ordered to fix them regardless of your second owner status. You can also try Kia Motors consumer affairs division in Irvine California. | |||||

| Kia AND HYUNDAI ARE TOTAL CRIMINALS ON THIS!!!! Do a quick google search and you'll see in April of '22 a Class action lawsuit has FINALLY been brought against Hyundai / Kia for EVERY 4 cylinder car they've made in the last 10 years and , because of car shortage , they are totally getting away with this. It's NOT normal. It is a risk of fire with excessive oil. It will destroy the mass air flow sensor, any one who says "Just add oil" has no idea what they are talking about. My new 2020 Soul only had 9,000 on it and started burning 1/2 quart every 1,000 mi ... | |||||
| Answer to: Why all the Hyundai hate? | 22Relevance | 4 years ago | Dan | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi, I'd just like to point out I did not say that,I said that I believe the gov should require corporations to publish accurate data (lifespan by manufacturer, and insurance companies to release overall stats for each model). I do not call for any direct action, or for the government to waste any tax payer money.-I must say that I disagree on Hyundai-Kias being "death traps", when looking at data,-death rates from Hyundai-Kia cars continue to be bellow average on most recent models. Not as good as Volvo, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Subaru - but better than Nissan, GM and many other products.-As far as fire concerns, here's data:-The average fire rates across the industry are 3,474 per 100,000 in hybrids, 1,529 per 100,000 petrol/diesels.So naturally with millions sold, tens of thousands of cars will catch on fire throughout their lifetime regardless of the brand.Hyundai-Kia are 2.5 times more likely to catch on fire than the average car, and it sounds dramatic but, that's how it is with small numbers. Even if the situation has changed and it is now 4x, then still.-Just to illustrate how much 2.5x times is, that's the difference between the Subaru Legacy's death rates compared to the Toyota Camry (but it's just minuscule anyway 0.0225% difference, both are very safe)Additionally the difference between the death rates in a Honda HRV is 4x higher than in a Nissan Juke - and yet the difference is so small in real world numbers that it's negligible.-I have not seen any numerical evidence that Hyundai-Kia products are death traps. 560 people die a year in the US as a result of a car fire (based on 2018 data) possibly (I do not know the number) 20-30 of those have died in a Hyundai-Kia - but those cases in particular get sensationalized.-I think Hyundai-Kia fire concerns are over represented. | |||||
| Kia Sportage 2012. Engine knocking, Kia is replacing engine on goodwill, NOT the extended warranty via ECU update | 19Relevance | 5 years ago | Egad | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi Scotty! 2012 Kia Sportage AWD 120,000 miles Automatic Going down highway and engine started knocking, knew Kia's were crap but I figured I had more time because I babied the thing. I knew that I went in for their ECU software update recall back in may, 2021 and under that recall update they provide a 10 year/150,000 warranty for long block damage caused by connecting rod. I took it to the Kia dealer and explained the warranty and they said they would diagnose and get back to me. I just got called today and they were replacing the engine under good ... | |||||
| Answer to: Should I buy a Kia K5 | 15Relevance | 5 years ago | infinitifxfan | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| No never buy a Hyundai Kia product. Don't trust the crooks who think they are reliable, they ARE NOT. I would get a Honda Accord< Mazda 6 or Toyota Camry over the Kia k5. Much better-built vehicles and they will outlast the Kia. | |||||

| I’m thinking about buying a new car and I really like the new Kia k5. From what I can tell Hyundai’s 1.6L 4 cylinder is a pretty good engine as long as I make sure to do the valve cover gasket and clean the intake valve. What do you think about the reliability of the updated Kia Optima and Kia in general lately? | |||||

| Want to buy a new car, my firs car. Not sure between Kia Forte and Toyota Corolla. What would be the best choice in both the short and long run?. Forte is less expensive but Corolla I believe is better quality that would mean less maintenance & repair costs in the long run. I was told in the past Kia Cars had bad quality. Lately I have heard that Kia has improved the quality very much. This is why I am asking for advise. Thank you. | |||||
