| Ford E-350 Camper Van Conversion I want to run FOREVER | 17Relevance | 3 years ago | Bucket | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey Scotty, I bought a used 2004 E350 Extended cargo van (private party) and have spent the last 2 years of my life converting the interior into a pretty awesome camper build. The van has about 100k miles, and seems to be in great condition. Since I put so much time and effort into the build, I want the thing to last as long as possible. I'm thinking of taking it in to my local Ford dealer and having them do some work you've recommended in your videos on how to make cars run longer (change trans fluid, air filter, spark plugs, and new synthetic power steeri ... | |||||

| I haven’t checked in a while, but last time I looked van prices were extremely inflated. In your budget, maybe you could find a government surplus Econoline or Chevy van. Not luxurious but a good platform for your purposes. | |||||

| Make and Model: 1994 GMC vandura G2500, 5.7L V8 Engine, 162k Miles, Automatic, Private Seller. (this is going to be a lil long, I apologize) Edit: I don't have a code scanner but when you turn it on, there's a Check Engine light, when you start the van, it's gone. No lights at all. Bought it last August and it ran just fine, the guy drove it to the meet up spot just fine. Started it up just fine. Engine sounded great. A few weeks later, I buy it for 3500. An important note is that this van's Electrical had been redone and then redone. It's a rats nest i ... | |||||

| ... vehicle is on the older side. Chrysler's quality, while not great, was better back then than it is now under Stellantis' watch.) Just do normal maintenance and hope for the best. Having made it this far that van could well last a while longer if it's been well cared for and is still in good condition. Best not to just hope, carefully check the warranty contract for terms and conditions. What the sales droid giveth the fine print taketh away. | |||||

| My number one choice for a live in and travel van would be a Sprinter. Most serious van lifers get a Sprinter if they can afford it. But I highly doubt you can get one for $8k. Possibly available for $8k is an older Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey, with an edge to Toyota for reliability and longevity. | |||||
| How bad is a 2016 Ford 350 Transit van ecoboost ? | 17Relevance | 4 years ago | Seeitknowit171 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I acquired a van for the company that I work for a 2016 Ford Transit T350 3.5 ecoboost about 125,000 miles. It was given to me with a check engine light and turned out it needed a new water pump and radiator. How much borrowed time I got to play on this thing? My last work van was a 2008 Chevy Express 2500 6.0 150,000 miles the brakes were down to the floor and the catalytic converter was stolen so they decided to get rid of it and give me this Fix Or Repair Daily. In general are transits better than Express vans or worse? Will I be Found On Road Dead soon? | |||||

| 2003 Chrysler mobility van 3.6 V6 Just purchased this van with a rear ramp conversion to enable my wife to ride in it with a wheelchair as she just had a stroke and is unable to walk anymore. Anyways I do take care of all my vehicle very well and wonder how much maintenance I am going to have to do on it since it has 155,000 miles on it. The seller changed the cabin filter, the oil and filter and transmission. he also put on new shocks on the rear. It has some rust on it but it runs fine so far. I have always run ford vehicles, so I don't know anything a ... | |||||

| I've been thinking about living full time in a van since 8 months ago. I plan on living in the same van for 3 to 5 years then likely gonna keep as daily driver afterwards this is partially for financial reason Yeah I've been earing about lacks of documentation and parts that take roughly a month just to be delivered. I love the fact that it is lhd, rare, somewhat desirable and it comes with front and rear lock diff I'm barely able to use a screw driver 😂 My budget is 20k for the van but I'd be able to drop 10k-15k a year on it I dont have spon ... | |||||

| Hey Scotty! I have a 2001 dodge 3500 van. It has about 150,000 miles on it. I just bought the van and did all the check overs, and drove it on the highway for about 5 miles and everything was OK. Went back and paid the fella and on the highway after about 20 miles it dropped out of overdrive and wouldn’t let me re-engage it by hitting the O/D button on the gear select. About a 1/2 mile or so later, the transmission temperature light indicator came on. I was able to pull over immediately let the van sit for about a half hour. Once I started it back up all the ... | |||||

| Answer to: which cargo van? | 17Relevance | 4 years ago | Dad2LM2 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Tough ask. Any cargo van right now under $10k is likely to be pretty rough. Prices in that segment are bonkers. Realistically, you’ll probably have to just take what you can get. Avoid Ram Promaster if you can. Sprinters and Ford Transits are preferred, but $$$. Maybe check the van Life boards for someone who is getting out or upgrading. | |||||
