| The markets are betting on tesla's venture into power grids. That is, large power companies purchasing billions of dollars in tesla battery stations to stabilize the power distribution within grids. They are also betting on tesla selling its auto-pilot software, batteries and electric motors to other automotive and trucking companies. And don't forget the likelihood of massive new government subsidies, and mandates for 100% electric vehicles. Oh, and let's not forget that independent auto mechanics, nor vehicle owners will not be able to access or repair t ... | |||||

| @Kaizen, I misspoke in my rant above whoopse. I meant BUYING a USED leased tesla. The used tesla market is crap. AND Carl somewhere put down that it was because of battery deterioration, when in reality it is because tesla has absolutely no idea how to manage their used market. | |||||

| I’m a fan of tesla and and Elon except for his decision to lock out independent repair of his vehicles. This is bad for consumers and bad for America! Apple, Samsung, John Deere, and all of the automakers are doing more and more of this and, in my humble opinion, this must be stopped. Check out Rich Rebuilds on YouTube about his ventures in trying to repair tesla cars. It’s pretty eye opening. tesla only treats customers well as long as you’re willing to shell out the big bucks and let them handle all repairs...and, of course, even then things can go ... | |||||

| The number you gave for Year to Date tesla Sales in US combines their vehicles. tesla does not give out the individual car breakdowns, conveniently. Anyways, for Model Year to Date Toyota has sold 165,693 Corolla’s, 217,975 Camry’s, 302,831 RAV4’s, and 138,178 Highlanders. And I will stop there: add those 4 models’ numbers up and it easily trumps tesla’s. And again, teslas are only affordable now because of all their price cuts this year to boost weakening demand as well as the $7,500 credit from the IRA. BTW, all those price cuts have hurt tesla vehicles r ... | |||||

| Getting only half of an EV’s claimed range makes it almost useless for road trips, doesn’t it? Here, we are talking about a 350+ tesla getting <200 mile range..I know several tesla owners who own Model 3 and Y and can corroborate they get 100 mile less than the advertised range. So their teslas really only get in the low 200s, which is still plenty for my everyday commute (admittedly) but for road trips not so much. Plus, they paid for the claimed 300+ range..On the flip side, I have seen reports that other EV makers (that’s NOT named tesla) are more cons ... | |||||

| A new Reuters report details that tesla, the world’s leading electric vehicle maker, is gaming the EPA system to vastly overstate its vehicles’ range and also diverting claims from drivers who are seeing as little as half the range. . The Reuters investigation uncovers a lot of details on the inflated numbers that EV experts have known about for years, charitably calling tesla’s range estimates “optimistic.” . Link: . Also, tesla faces a class action lawsuit in California over its false EV range claims. . | |||||

| No. Elon Musk won't share his mechanic information with anyone so if your car has a problem, you can only send it to tesla. Plus, you are also dealing with lawsuits and half of your car going on fire with those batteries if not treated correctly. | |||||

| So as we all know Hydrogen and electric cars are the future. GM is going all electric by 2035 Japanese are working on Hydrogen China and Korea already started investing in eco friendly environment So my question is about tesla. tesla is a good car but has a bad resale value due to it battery. The more you drive the more the value drops. tesla claims there battery can last 200000 to 300000 and i don't know if it's true or not, but they said they are working on battery that can last million miles. So do u think tesla is good investment in future w ... | |||||

| Ok, then yeah, look on tesla forums for parasitic drain issues. If there is not an obvious solution, maybe go to an independent auto electric place to see if they can find the problem. There is plenty of info out there on finding a 12 v parasitic drain on a regular car, But this might require an expert. | |||||
