| Answer to: CRV vs Ford Focus MPG? | 42Relevance | 3 years ago | Kaizen | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Without looking at the official stats, my guess is that the focus would have better gas mileage than the CRV. The focus is a sub/compact car, the CRV is a sub/compact SUV. The focus seems to have better aero dynamics. The SUV is more utilitarian. The focus is lower to the ground. The CRV is up higher. The engine technology inside the focus is slightly newer, hinting at better engine efficiency. All these clue in, suggesting that the focus would have the better gas mileage. Obviously, a deeper dive would be necessary to determine the specifics, but this is ... | |||||

| I’ll forget your last comment. I’ve been driving my very same focus 2003 since 19 years. Bought it new. I know it inside out. I’ve been testing for three months with different levels of octane under all kinds of circumstances (Focus and Escape). I considered weather, humidity, rain, level of gasoline in the tank, etc. It is always possible that I purchased octane 94 gas that was not as advertised (although I only buy from the best outlets). Battery is new BTW from May. I am also checking it from time to time with a trickle charger to see if it’s fully charg ... | |||||

| @watson I used to repair the FORD DPS6 / RENUALT EDC6, and I currently own two cars with Getrag Powershift transmissions (Ford focus with the 6DCT250, Volvo C30 with a 6DCT450, and am considering to buy a Mégane/CLA diesel with the new generation 7DCT300) - Yes the early 2012-2013 6DCT250 were terrible, the transmissions did have inexcusable faults, odd driving dynamics and exceptionally laggy software. (together with bad ground cables and more faults that I attribute to the focus and not the transmission, as they didn’t. happen on the Renualt Megane III/ F ... | |||||
| Answer to: Ford focus vs toyota camry | 30Relevance | 2 years ago | jack62 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| As far as Fords go the focus isn't a bad car. The Camry is a better car but it has over twice as many miles. I think the focus is good for 200,000 miles if it was taken care of and you continue to take care of it (at least oil changes). The Camry might be able to squeeze out another 70,000 to 100,000 miles if it was taken care of but all things considered I think I'd go with the low mileage focus in this case. But be careful. The mileage on that focus reflects around 4,000 miles per year. That's the kind of mileage an old, retired guy like me puts on hi ... | |||||

| Hello Scotty!! I have a problem with my Ford focus mk3 with a 1.6L petrol engine and it has to do with the AC not working i have checked fuses and the relay and they were fine but when I turn the AC on it does not activate the pump. The focus has about 110 000km(68 350miles). The last owner went to a independent workshop and they have refilled the gas but i have read that if there's not enough pressure it wont turn on. And i don't belive that pressure is normal. Btw its European focus. | |||||

| (Car complaints' explanation of 2012-2018 Ford focus🙂 CARCOMPLAINTS.COM NOTES: For the third year in a row, the 3rd generation focus is experiencing massive transmission problems. Most notably owners keep complaining about how there's bad hesitation and jerking when starting from a stop. This isn't the result of an old, worn out part. In fact, the average mileage it's reported to us is just over 15k miles. | |||||
| Answer to: Ford Maverick engine | 30Relevance | 4 years ago | Dan | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Generally modern hybrids are good at both, much better economy than a petrol with similar driving characteristics. Ford Maverick It’s built on the same platform and shares most of its parts with the European Ford focus. It’s based on a small European market family car, has nothing to do with ford’s other trucks or trucks in general. Thats not a good thing considering how mediocre and of bellow-average reliability other cars on the same platform have generally been. 2.5 Hybrid According to a review on Youtube the Maverick hybrid does about 38MPG (if ... | |||||

| HI, Ford focus 2013, 59,000 miles second set of tires. Cooper CS5 ULTRA tires at 34,000 miles... issue. slowly but surely developed after a good 10,000 miles or so on these tires a "bearing noise". Bearing noise starts at 35mph and on. right turns, left turns, straight, coasting etc.....some sort of front bearing noise. never goes away. you don't feel it in the steering wheel. rotating tires does not help. tire inspection shows just a slight cupping on inside of all 4 tires..slightly. The car has had the clutch transmission shutter worked on 2 time ... | |||||

| Oops. I mixed up, Sorry! And yep, that's the experience of many focus owners... I also own a Ford focus with a Powershift and those transmissions never worked correctly on the focus - late model years on small engines like I own are a bit odd, but the early model year ones paired to bigger 2.0 and 2.0T engines were just a total nightmare... | I found a 2014 Ford focus for $500 with 89k miles, automatic. Runs like a champ, ice cold AC just has a smash in the back, of which is bend out able, just enough. So it’s legal on the road Would a transmission from a 2014 ford fiesta fit a 2014 ford focus? Im trying to find a extra transmission in case this ever goes. I get these cars have a bad rap. But $500? Isn’t that cheap. Even if I just saved it as a second car. | |||||

| 2005 Toyota Corolla randomly dies | 30Relevance | 4 years ago | lisa.grimaldi2020 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I have a 2005 Corolla I sold to my friend for 2900. It has been a fantastic car for me for 6 years Now that she has it. It randomly DIES - dead as a doornail needs jumped - Alternator and battery are brand new I had the Starter, alternator, and battery Tested by 3 different parts stores just in case there is bias. Battery is less than 1 year but NOT a likely culprit Now it is at Goodyear and they are saying it because I don't have the manufacturer's battery holder. I have aftermarket brackets holding the battery down with wing nuts but they claim it is still moving and has to be the problem because they have tested all my fuses supposedly I am at wit's end and can't afford to fix something that is NOT THE CAUSE of the problem and I am in not condition to re-pay my good friend and take the car back | |||||
