| ... though a redesign making now with all engines being skyActiv and the 2.5L variant getting a boost to 184 horsepower while getting better fuel economy than last years much weaker variant. I would same up some more and go for the 2014, it's just so much better than the old Ford based Mazdas. Both the mazda3 (until 2014) and Fiesta are FoMoCo (Ford Motor Company) designed cars. Mazda was owned by Ford at the time this car was designed and it's indistinguishable with the EURO Ford Focus. The powertrain on most of these is a Ford DuraTech, and most of th ... | |||||

| Answer to: Mazda6 2012 vs mazda3 2013 | 37Relevance | 4 years ago | Dan | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| The cars you're looking at are probably not Mazdas, the '12 Mazda6 is a Ford Fusion and the '13 mazda3 is a Ford Focus. (at least in most of the world these were the years before they switched over to their own designs) Realize that before the 3rd generation of the Mazda6 and mazda3 there were just Ford products in disguise. The only Mazda sedans/hatches you want are 3rd gen 3/6, this generation: mazda3 3rd generation Mazda6 3rd generation Even if those were 3rd gen Mazdas, Both the cars you're looking at have too much milage and are nearing ... | |||||
| Is a used 2016 Mazda3 a good choice? | 28Relevance | 5 years ago | Gabe | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hello, I have been searching for used cars for a while and I finally chose the 2016 mazda3 I sport sedan. The main reason I got interested in mazda3's is that I will be driving to Tenessee from Michigan multiple times for work. The Mazda gets about 40 mpg on the highway and that would be a big money saver. It has about 136,000 miles, but I know that's not too big of a deal since Mazda is working alongside Toyota and they both last very well. In the end, would this be a good car that will last? | |||||

| Hello! What is your opinion on the mazda3? I recently came across a used 2018 mazda3 Touring with the 2.5L 4 Cylinder engine. It has 27,000 miles and it's being offered for 15k. I'm looking for a car that is fun to drive, reliable, inexpensive to maintain. It should also have good cargo space. Are these cars reliable? Is there anything I should look out for? Thank you! | |||||
| Reliability or fun to drive? Corolla vs Mazda3 | 28Relevance | 5 years ago | Thealex11 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi Scotty, Longtime fan from your old stomping grounds of Toronto. I am considering buying a used car and my budget will likely land me either a 2017 Corolla or mazda3. I am leaning towards the mazda3 as I am drawn to its sporty handling and nicer interior. This car would have to last me at least 5 years. Am I nuts for not wanting the sensible Corolla? | |||||

| I want to get a "fun" hatchback car. I have narrowed down to a mazda3 hatchback or a Fiesta ST. I have found a couple options under $10K with less than 100K miles on them. I plan on getting a manual transmission on either. What is the opinion on the either of these options. I am leaning more towards mazda3 just because of reliability(MADE IN JAPAN lol) but I do see Fiesta ST's for less, around $8K. Is a Fiesta ST reliable enough to justify the savings? The few cars I am looking at buying are between the years 2013-2017. Thanks! Overall I would just like to ... | |||||
| Answer to: Mazda 3 vs Dodge Charger vs Honda Civic Si as my first car | 36Relevance | 5 years ago | Whatchamacallit | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| First off, don’t even consider buying the Dodge Charger (not built well and propensity for electrical issues as it ages), so it comes down to the mazda3 vs Civic Si. Now the Mazda 6-speed Skyactiv-Drive automatic transmission is perfectly fine and true and tried so I would not back down from it. That being said, the mazda3 you are considering with the manual transmission comes only with the 2.5L naturally aspirated I4 engine which, unfortunately, has cylinder deactivation and I would avoid that if you plan to keep the vehicle out of warranty and for a long ... | |||||

| Been a big fan for years. My 2018 mazda3 just went over 60,000 miles and I live in south Florida. I'm not really mechanically inclined but I can follow directions well. I want to prolong the life of this car as long as possible. I've read conflicting things so I need some help. I found my radiator drain plug. Is it true that I cannot just open the drain plug when the car is cold and refill the tub to the full line? I've read diluting older coolant with fresh coolant can hurt the engine? I don't want to attempt a flush. Also brake fluid, it's getting a little ... | |||||

| Scotty, I drive a 2010 mazda3 that has around 102,000 miles on it. I bought it new, and do my best to maintain it (as I do all my vehicles) and it has served me well thus far, with a few exceptions. In the past, I've had to have the entire ABS hydraulic unit replaced, as well as a bunch of lines and wiring harnesses for the engine. Both of those issues happened in a 3-month period and totaled around $5000. And that was two years and 20,000 miles ago. I'm in the military, and also had to leave it sitting for 9+ months while I deployed right after those repa ... | |||||

| I have a 2018 mazda3 Auto w/about 65000 miles. This has the "lifetime" transmission fluid that I'd like to change out. I'm seeing conflicting answers on the internet on the best way to proceed. 1) Should I just drain the pan, measure out the fluid removed and add new Mazda trans fluid or 2) Should I drop the pan, change the filter/clean the magnet, reinstall and then add the proper Mazda trans fluid? I've seen people say just do #1, where others have said don't waste your time doing #1 as you're leaving most of the dirty fluid and the dirty filter b ... | |||||
| Answer to: any thoughts on Mazda CX-30 or Mazda3 | 19Relevance | 3 years ago | Anthony Zingale | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I don't know if the specific mazda3 you are looking at is made in Mexico (some are made in Japan), but all the CX-30s are made in Mexico. Toyota has some stake in Mazda and Mazda is using a lot of Toyota's technology at the base level. You are headed in the right direction, but it is up to you whether you want a small sedan or a small SUV. | |||||
