I have high mileage oil in my 2004 pontiac grand prix gtp with 130000 miles on it. I could not find the answer in video that i was looking for. If it is going to damage or could damage my motor I obviously won't want to continue to use the High mileage Mobil 1 oil.
It's not going to damage the motor. The difference between a high mileage blend and regular synthetic is that the high mileage is supposed to contain additives that are gentler on worn rubber seals. I'm personally not sold on this, but that is my opinion.
I would just stick to Mobil 1 synthetic if it were me. Running it has worked well for you so far. Why change?
But to directly answer your question, no. You are not damaging the motor by running high mileage blend.
Yep. Oil companies sure don't offer any evidence it works. Just the usual vague claims.
You won't damage anything. My goofy self was in a hurry about a couple years ago and I bought Pennzoil Platinum 5W-30 High Mileage for a 2017 Mustang that had maybe 14,000 miles on it at the time. I went to swap it, they didn't have any non-high mileage formulation Pennzoil Platinum, so I just used it. The car ran just fine.
