I have a 2002 celica gt automatic. Changed motor and trans. Turn key and dash lights up normally but no sounds from engine at at all. Checked ignition switch and has one full time hot wire. Acc has hot wire. On is hot. But turn to start and nothing. Changed ignition switch and is the same. Motor is free. Ran jump wire from battery to starter and will turn over. What would keep the start position from becoming hot? Please help

Check for missing or corroded grounding from battery to body and engine to body. Somewhere, the circuit is not complete.
