Engine Code P0420. Do you recommend using a CRC Turbo and Intake Valve cleaner to solve the problem? And also last day the red triangle popped up in the dashboard and found out i have low engine oil but i just did a oil change last month. I’m planning to have the Hybrid Repair Kit from BG Products and change the pvc valve, do you recommend those things also? Even though you just got an oil change, double check your oil yourself. Sometimes they don’t fill it up properly. And make sure to top it ASAP. Also check for leaks.
As for the P0420, the catalytic converter may need replacing. It could be other problems related to the exhaust aystem, but given the age of the car, that would be my primary guess.
Do you think should i still do the hybrid kits of bg products and the cdc gdi?

What about if the system is malfunctioning and the red triangle on the dashboard what do you think the problem with that? 🙂
Do you have any other codes? The only time I’ve gotten the red triangle of death was when the hybrid battery needed changing, and when I accidentally ran low on oil.
I am not sure what else it could be. I haven’t seen it associated with the P0420 unless maybe the catalytic converters is really super clogged?
The hybrid battery is still good. The red triangle occured when I accidentally ran out of oil. Then after top off It disappeared then the other day i drove the prius in the free way then it reappeared then day after it diappeared again. I suspect that the cat is super clogged coz i just bought this prius also last 29th of may 🤷🏻♂️
